अहियापुरOur village, our accounts

We celebrate together. We keep the books in the open.

Festival collections, monthly savings and help for families in need, written down rupee by rupee so every villager can see where the money came from and where it went.

  • Every rupee recorded
  • Open to every member
  • Corrected, never erased

What the village looks after

Three funds, one honest ledger

Festival funds

For Chhath Puja and every other occasion. Families give what they can, collectors record each contribution and each expense, and the village sees what was collected, spent and left.

Per-collector balances, always up to date

Monthly fund

Members chosen by the administrators put in an amount every month, any amount. Each member's paid and unpaid months are on record, so nobody has to remember.

Month-by-month history for every member

Help for neighbours

When a family needs support, the village helps from the monthly fund. A gift is a gift. A loan is repaid, and if someone returns a little extra, that is recorded too.

Gifts, loans, repayments and write-offs

From hand to hand

How a rupee travels

  1. 1

    Collected

A collector receives money from a member or a walk-in giver and records it against the occasion.

  2. 2

    Spent

Each purchase is entered by the collector who paid for it, with the amount and the reason.

  3. 3

    Handed over

Collectors can pass cash to each other. At the end, what is left goes to the person the village chooses, or is lent to someone to come back next year with any extra.

  4. 4

    Open to see

Every member can sign in and check the totals, the entries and their own giving.

The books

Every entry stays on the page

  • A mistake is voided with a reason, never deleted, so the history is complete.
  • Each collector's cash is counted separately, so everyone knows who holds what.
  • Totals are worked out from the entries, so they always add up.

Trust, in three roles

Who does what

Super admins

Approve new members, set up festivals, choose who collects for each festival and fund, and settle a festival at the end. They manage the books and never hold the money.

Moderators

Members chosen for one festival or one fund. They collect and spend only there, and every entry is recorded under their own name.

Members

See the festivals and the monthly fund, and your own giving across all of them.
